SUMA - Humanitarian Supply Management System Promotes transparency and accountability in the management of relief supplies and is the regional standard for PAHO/WHO Member Countries. The SUMA system includes software, training manuals, logistics courses and more than 3,000 trained volunteers worldwide. ISDR - International Strategy for Disaster Reduction As the successor to the IDNDR, ISDR continues enabling communities to become resilient to the effects of natural, technological and environmental hazards and reducing the compound risks they pose to social and economic vulnerabilities within modern societies.


The principal objective of the courses is to enhance the participants´ capacity to design and implement disaster reduction programs, with emphasis on the health sector.
CDERA - Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency CDERA is an inter- governmental regional disaster management organisation established in 1991 by an agreement of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Its headquarters are located in Barbados.

CEPREDENAC - Centro de Coordinación de Prevención de Desastres Naturales en Centro América (Spanish only) CEPREDENAC is a regional institution, component of the Central American Integration System (SICA). Its purpose is to promote natural disaster reduction, through the exchange of experience, technology and information; analysis of strategies common problems; and external cooperation.
