The Pan American Health Organization presents this training material about the effects of hurricanes on health facilities and basic information on disaster mitigation related to hurricanes. It includes graphic presentations (in PowerPoint), scripts that accompany the graphic presentations, technical publications on the subject of disaster mitigation in health facilities, and posters that can be distributed.

The material was produced in the Dominican Republic, as part of a project financed by the Disaster Preparedness Program of the European Commission Humanitarian Aid Department (DIPECHO III).
