FUNDESUMA, the Result of the Project's Growth

FUNDESUMA, the Foundation for the Development of the SUMA Supply Management System was created in August 1996. This NGO acquired regional prominence at the beginning of 1998 when it signed a first annual agreement with the Pan American Health Organization to develop the following activities related to SUMA:

  • Technical and operational support
  • Training in Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Regional and global promotion
  • Maintenance and updating of SUMA software
  • Technical and operative support in humanitarian assistance operations
  • FUNDESUMA is headquartered in Costa Rica.
